Janette Ewen has been one of Canada’s leading décor and lifestyle experts for
more than a decade, passing on her passion for design and fashion to avid fans
through magazines, newspapers and television.
Named by the National Post as one of three Canadians stylists who “get it,”
Ewen guides would-be designers through a good-natured competition of design
challenges as co-host of Inside the Box with Ty Pennington (seen on the W
network).
Known especially for her creative, budget-friendly and original approach
to decorating, she is a regular on television programs from coast to coast,
including Canada AM, CityLine, Breakfast Television and Urban Rush.
Ewen also appeared as a design expert on “The Decorating Adventures of
Ambrose Price,” and as a judge on Season Two of “From The Ground Up With
Debbie Travis.”
For the past three years, Ewen has brought to life many of her visions and
inspirations as the designer of the National Home Show’s Dream Home.
During her varied career, Ewen has worked as an editor at Chatelaine, House
and Home, and Chocolat magazines. She has been a regular contributor to the
Globe and Mail, and Sweetspot and her work has appeared in and on various
media outlets in the United States, Australia and Japan.
